5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God. (NKJV)
Are you wondering about your loved ones? Do they really know the Lord? The most difficult of all questions in your mind is, will you see them in heaven?
The great commission tells us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. But it might be harder to approach your loved one. It seems especially hard to talk to your in-laws. I found this to be true. First step is to be a living Bible. Just show the attributes of Jesus. Walk in the light. If your spouse is not a Christian it will be doubly hard for you. Pray often for salvation for your loved ones. Pray that there will be opportunities to share your faith with them. Show them from Whom you draw your strength and love.
Give yourself peace. No one knows for certain who will enter heaven’s gates. Only the Lord knows the counsels of the heart. I now believe a friend’s Dad followed Christ. I did not realize this until his memorial service. His Dad was a man of quiet faith.
Lord, there are requests I bring before you that are important to me. None are more important than Your saving grace. I pray that my loved ones will have a place before You in glory. Please give them opportunities to make the choice for You. If it is my role, give me the words and courage to speak Your truth. In Your name I ask this, amen.
